OrganiGram Holdings Inc has entered into a supply and distribution accord with Canopy Growth Corp (NYSE:CGC). The deal is subject to the approval of OrganiGram Holdings as Cannabis supplier in Newfoundland and Labrador. The supply accord is valid for a period of 2 years.
The adult use of recreational cannabis is expected to be legalized in Canada on October 17, 2018. Following the legalization, OrganiGram will supply the finished and branded cannabis products to Tweed Branded retail operations of Canopy Growth. The company will also get the support from Canopy Growth in the form of B2B sales.
Tim Emberg commenting on the deal said the company is pleased to enter into a pact with Canopy Growth in Labrador and Newfoundland.
OrganiGram also entered into supply accords and MOUs with Manitoba, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Alberta, and New Brunswick. Canopy Growth has already secured supply accords in each province.
