on

Cannabis firm Marijuana Company Of America Inc (OTCMKTS:MCOA) launched its subsidiary hempSMART in The Netherlands towards the end of June as part of its venture into the European market.

The company has been pushing for a stronger presence in the European market as the region embraces cannabis consumption. MCOA received overwhelmingly positive feedback during its launch in the United Kingdom in March this year. Based on the response, it decided to push the hempSMART brand into more areas in the European region, starting with the Netherlands.

“The Netherlands launch was a complete success, with people traveling from other parts of Europe to witness the excitement around our hempSMART CBD product line,” stated hempSMART’s global sales director, Ian Harvey.

MCOA CEO Don Steinberg demonstrated the company’s wellness products during the event through a video conference aimed at showcasing the benefits and quality that the firm has to offer. Harvey revealed that the products had already been sold out by the end of the event.

Meanwhile, Steinberg noted that his company’s high-quality products together with the highly skilled hempSMART team have been critical in expanding their scope of operations and market in Europe.

MCOA announces letter of intent for a partnership

Just a few days before HepmSMART’s launch in the Netherlands, CMOA announced that Alpha Private Equity & Capital LLC and Northern Lights Distribution LLC signed a letter of intent for a joint venture. The two reportedly agreed to form a joint venture that will exist under the name Magnolia Extracts LLC. The latter will exist with the sole purpose of expanded operations and its operations include manufacturing, delivery, and distribution of cannabis products in Lynwood, California.

MCOA announced in April this year that it acquired 20% stake in Natural Plant Extract of California (NPE). They also entered a joint venture through which they agreed to launch a company called Viva Buds that will focus on delivering premium cannabis. NPE also has a subsidiary called NLD which also became part of the joint venture, as well as helping to cover some of the costs. Some of those expenses include the cost of building a new production facility.
