Acreage Holdings Inc (OTCMKTS:ACRHF) Reports A Growth Of 50% In Revenues In Q4 2020

Acreage Holdings Inc (OTCMKTS:ACRHF) posted revenues of $31.5 million (up 50%) in Q4 2020. Its Managed Entity posted revenues of $15.7 million (up 41%) in Q4 2020. The company posted a growth of 27% from its same-store sales.

The CEO of Acreage, Peter Caldini, said the company is excited to improve its operational and financial fundamentals in Q4 and 2020. The efforts put in by the team of Acreage are delivering results to improve profitability and reward shareholders with rich dividends in the long-term. Peter is confident that Acreage will emerge as a profitable and leading MSO in the cannabis industry in the US.

High Street Capital signs a pact

High Street Capital LLC, a subsidiary of Acreage, signed a deal to sell Acreage Florida Inc to Red White and Bloom Brands, Inc (OTCMKTS:RWBYF) in February 2021. As per the terms of the pact, the company will realize $60 million by selling all of the outstanding and issued common shares and Sanderson, Florida-based property.

Red White will pay upfront cash of $5 million on signing the agreement. On concluding the deal, it will pay $7 million in common stock, $20 million cash, and $28 million in the form of promissory notes. Acreage expects to close the transaction in Q2 2021.

Acreage Florida is licensed to run medical marijuana dispensaries, a cultivation facility, and a Florida processing facility. Peter said offloading Florida operations is part of its previous strategy to concentrate its core markets and boost profitability.

Peter further said the proceeds from this deal will strengthen its balance sheet and expedite the expansion of cultivation projects. The company will also use the proceeds to inaugurate additional dispensaries to sell adult-use cannabis in states like New Jersey and Illinois, promote growth.

Acreage currently holds licenses and active operations in 13 states. The company will continue to divest its non-core licenses and operations.

New Jersey legalizes marijuana for recreational use

Phil Murphy, Governor of New York, signed a law legalizing marijuana for recreational use. The law allows people aged 21 years and above to keep 6 ounces of cannabis in their possession. In November 2020, the voters in New Jersey voted for the legal use of marijuana.
