Cure Pharmaceutical Holding Corp (OTCMKTS:CURR) unveiled two clinical development programs to target antiviral and anti-seizure applications.
Cure Pharmaceutical will add its known API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) on CUREfilm, its patented drug delivery platform, in the first antiviral development program. It will optimize the metabolism and absorption of therapeutic activities.
The company will use a similar approach to formulate anti-seizure API delivery for pediatric and adult indications. The two programs will leverage the prevailing clinical and pre-clinical safety as well as toxic data for developing orally bioavailable products. They will also expand Cure Pharmaceutical’s R&D efforts to build SPP (specialty pharmaceutical pipeline).
Leverages proven drug platform
CEO of Cure Pharmaceutical, Rob Davidson, said the company is leveraging its proven drug platform to boost shareholder value through expanding this pipeline. The company followed a methodical approach in selecting the product to help differentiate itself as a product developer and pharmaceutical researcher.
Applying the known APIs in its CUREfilm platform will help Cure Pharmaceutical enhance the market opportunities and improve the chances of getting approved to enter the market faster.
Chief Business Officer Jonathan Berlent, said the company is expanding its R&D and product pipeline to include anti-seizure and antiviral therapeutics. The company will follow the same pathway to proceed to human clinical trials just like its CUREfilm® Blue clinical program. Cure Pharmaceutical began an initial PK (Pharmacokinetics)/ bioequivalence trial this week to support its previously approved IND with the US FDA. It is in continuation of the FDA’s feedback to support the company’s clinical development plans for its ED pill – CUREfilm Blue.
CUREfilm Blue is oral soluble sildenafil citrate present in Viagra to treat male impotence or Erectile Dysfunction (ED).

A plethora of new products launched this year
This year, various products were launched. Starting with March 2021, OrganiGram Holdings Inc introduced its Edison Black Cherry Punch, I.C.C.and Slurricane strains. They were introduced in a package of three half-gram pre-rolls.
In the following month in the same year, GMO Cookies and MAC-1, which are high potency Edison dried flower strains, were introduced by the company.
