Basically, the best smoke shop in the Oakland/Berkeley area. Really good service, they’re always very kind, a beautiful array of different visually stimulating glass pieces and a whole bunch of really good portable vapes… They also very high-quality wax smoking devices. Also, very good if you need a bowl piece! Went in with my lady and found what we needed with CBD.
Warning: Bait and Switch, Unlisted Ingredients, and Bugs Found in Chocolate
I have been a loyal customer of Gateway Smoke Shop for quite some time now, often making a two-hour drive just to get my hands on their “holy grail” mushroom chocolate. However, my recent visit to their store left me extremely disappointed and concerned about the quality of their products.
During this visit, I discovered that they did not have my favorite brand of mushroom chocolate in stock. Instead, I was offered a different brand as a replacement. Feeling somewhat hesitant, I decided to give it a try. To my dismay, I discovered bugs in the chocolate I purchased. This not only raises serious hygiene concerns but also indicates a lack of quality control at the shop.
Furthermore, what is even more alarming is the fact that the product I purchased did not list its ingredients. This lack of transparency is highly concerning, as it leaves customers clueless about what they are consuming. Ali at this smoke shop was fantastic! He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the products and took the time to explain the differences. I really appreciated how he made helpful suggestions that suited exactly what I was looking for. His friendly and laid-back approach made the whole experience enjoyable.
Awesome place, Was in a bind, needed a small part that no other smoke shop had and he had it in multiple sizes. He was super helpful and accommodating, definitely my new smoke shop going forward.
